Stick a Fork in Katherine Whittred...

...the North Vancouver-Lonsdale MLA is done. Whittred, a three-term BC Liberal MLA, announced she will not seek re-election next May, according to our friends at North Vancouver Politics.com.

That's considered a safe BCLP seat, so I suspect the competition to replace her will be fierce. The newshounds at NVP are already rumouring: North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce President Naomi Yamamoto, former School Board Chairman Guy Heywood, failed Vancouver mayoral candidate Jennifer Clarke, and local councillors Pam Goldsmith-Jones, Bob Fearnley, and Doug Mackay-Dunn.
