Gray Is Out
Langley Liberal riding association president Al Peterson has just confirmed in this comment thread that federal Liberal candidate Jake Gray has dropped out of the race.
Let the speculation begin, but I'll pull a few names off the list (based on the conversations I've had with folks): Neither Bill Brooks nor Sam Kirk are interested or available. I would also think that former fed Lib candidates Steve Ferguson and Kim Richter would be off the list too--it's tough to stand for municipal re-election at the same time as being a federal candidate.
I still think Karen Kersey would offer an interesting candidacy, and could bring some attention to her marijuana legalization push.
