New Secretary-Treasurer

The Langley School District has a new Twitter feed (http://twitter.com/LangleySchools), and that's how I learned that Wayne Braun will be taking over as the District's Secretary-Treasurer this summer.

From the Advance:

Braun, who is currently director of Corporate Financial Services with the Calgary Board of Education, is a Certified Management Accountant with 25 years experience in financial management and governance.

He has been the secretary-treasurer in three Alberta school districts, and was the director of the School Finance Branch with that province's government.

Calgary's School Board has an annual budget approaching $1 billion, says the Herald.
