New Federal Party?
I received an email today that announced the introduction of a possible new federal political party. It's called the True North Party of Canada and the organizers are working on signing up 250 members to give it official status. From what I can see, they're aiming to be more libertarian.

So do supporters come from current soft Tories? Does this potentially split the vote if these guys get any traction?

It's foundation and guiding principals will be the Canadian Charter
of Rights, the heritage of Canada, and the values from the past and
present, that have made this country strong, independent, and free.
If you are fed up with the major political parties and not happy with
the alternatives; if you want a Canada where all Canadian Citizens
have all the same rights; if you want a Canada where Canadian
Citizens come first; and you really want to have your say about your
country, then consider becoming a member of this party.
We are in the process of becoming an official Canadian Federal
Party. To do so we need 250 party members.
